Candace Owens marks Charlie Kirk's 33rd birthday with new findings in her ongoing investigation

Candace Owens delivers a solo episode covering new developments in her Charlie Kirk investigation, the Kelly Clarkson Brooklyn store incident, and Danny Trejo's alleged entrapment in a Ben Shapiro film project.

Summary

Candace Owens opens by marking what would have been Charlie Kirk's 33rd birthday, framing the episode as a continuation of her investigation into the circumstances of his death. She presents new findings about Val Peterson — described as the most powerful man in Utah — including that his brother Charles Peterson was arrested twice in 2026 on charges related to child sexual exploitation, in Utah and Idaho. Owens connects this to a recurring pattern she says she has observed throughout her investigation, where figures surrounding the story have ties to crimes involving minors. She also raises pointed questions about Andrew Kolvet's alleged presence at the White House the day before the partial release of the Epstein files, Pam Bondi's claim that full release would cause the collapse of global economies, and Erika Kirk's alleged connections to a modeling agency linked to Jeffrey Epstein and Jean-Luc Brunel. The episode also covers Kelly Clarkson's viral Brooklyn store incident, which Owens uses as a broader commentary on the decline of American culture, and Danny Trejo's son's claim that his father was unknowingly contracted into a Ben Shapiro film project.

Key Takeaways

  • Val Peterson's brother arrested on child exploitation charges: Charles Peterson, brother of UVU Vice President Val Peterson, was arrested in February 2026 in Utah and subsequently charged in Idaho with multiple counts related to child sexual exploitation and soliciting a minor — charges Owens says fit a pattern she keeps encountering among figures connected to the Charlie Kirk story.
  • Val Peterson's whereabouts on September 10th confirmed as golfing: Multiple sources with direct knowledge told Owens that Peterson was golfing in Heber, Utah — possibly at a tournament, possibly with Governor Cox — on the day Charlie Kirk died, despite having oversight responsibilities for EMS services at UVU. The governor's published schedule shows no commitments listed for September 9th or 10th.
  • Governor Cox met with Tyler Clancy on September 2nd: Owens notes that the governor's published schedule shows a one-on-one meeting at the governor's mansion with Provo police officer and state representative Tyler Clancy — a figure she has previously discussed in connection with the Kirk investigation — just days before Kirk's death.
  • Unanswered questions about the Epstein files and TPUSA leadership: Owens asks why Andrew Kolvet was allegedly at the White House the day before the partial Epstein file release, why Pam Bondi stated full release would collapse global economies, and why the Trump administration has refused to release the files in their entirety — framing these as connected to the broader suppression of the Kirk story.
  • Erika Kirk's alleged modeling agency connections remain unaddressed: Owens reiterates that Erika Kirk has not denied being connected to a New York modeling office allegedly frequented by Jeffrey Epstein and founded by Jean-Luc Brunel, nor denied overseeing modeling apartments on the Upper East Side housing young Eastern European models — and argues a denial would be simple if the claims were false.
  • TPUSA's Club America program described as coercive: Owens argues that mandatory school assemblies run under the Club America program contradict Charlie Kirk's own stated vision — presented to investors in Aspen three weeks before his death — of a voluntary debate-style club where students chose to participate.
  • France, Israel, and the US framed as having shared Epstein-linked interests: Owens argues that the presence of French Foreign Legion personnel at UVU on the day of Kirk's death, combined with Epstein's deep ties to France, Israel, and US intelligence, provides a coherent framework for understanding why those three entities might have had a shared interest in Kirk's fate after he turned against Israel.
  • Kelly Clarkson's Brooklyn store incident used as cultural commentary: Owens describes the incident — in which Clarkson was told an automated bird was not for sale and subsequently claimed discrimination — as emblematic of a broader collapse of American cultural credibility, arguing that the era of believing in celebrity authenticity is over.
  • Danny Trejo allegedly entrapped in Ben Shapiro film contract: Trejo's son publicly stated his 82-year-old father had never heard of Ben Shapiro before signing on to the film Pawn Shop, only discovering Shapiro's involvement two weeks into shooting, and that contractual clauses prevent Trejo from speaking out or walking away without facing a lawsuit.

    Opening remarks and viewer comments

Candace Owens: Happy Wednesday to everyone except for the people in the comment section who did not believe me when I blamed everything on Skyler yesterday. Special shout out to Eric of America who wrote: "I stand with Skyler. He's being used as a psych. I concede that you almost beat me at my own game. But for your information, yesterday was actually a hearsay episode, so Skyler was therefore guilty. The evidence was overwhelming. 4K HD."

Anyway, you may have noticed if you were scrolling through social media that today is indeed October 14th — what would have been Charlie Kirk's 33rd birthday. I was thinking about that, and how actually Charlie — or at least the Charlie that I knew, not the manufactured ghost of Charlie that Turning Point presents today, who was nothing like the real Charlie — Charlie was never big on his birthday. He was sort of an old soul. I have no memory of him being excited about a birthday ever. His focus was always about striving toward a certain life goal, striving toward truth.

And so today we're going to continue that. Our goal, if you will — or rather our war with everyone who continues to desecrate his memory with nonsense, fed slop. We made some fantastic new discoveries yesterday, as always thanks to you guys back at home, which we're going to tell you all about.

In other news, we are now covering this beat: America has fallen. There's evidence of that everywhere. And accordingly, I feel the need to weigh in on this Kelly Clarkson scandal. Don't worry if you're not from America and you don't know who she is — I'm going to bring you up to date on this original American Idol crashing out in a Brooklyn store. It is indeed a sign of the most unfortunate times. Welcome back to Candace.

Pokemon cards and the Val Peterson investigation

Okay, foremost — back by popular demand. You guys were raving about our Pokemon cards. You wanted more of them. Some of you desire to trade these in the streets. You want to collect them. We have the Brian Harpole Pokemon card — that's probably a really valuable one, actually. You can see he can take over medical duties from actually qualified doctors and professionals at any time. Also Tattoo Brothers — if you've got the tattoo you can team up, but there is a weakness there at the bottom. Then of course we have Yankin' Banking Frank. I love this Pokemon card. These are the hokey Pokemon cards. CPR — perhaps he can do it, sometimes he doesn't do it, so be careful. But he is indeed the chain snatcher. He will snatch evidence right from police hands. The weakness is just there's a lot of yanking and banking. Anyway, you guys collect them. You've got to collect them all. They're in the wild. Their stories are in fact wild.

Yesterday, of course, we introduced you to a very significant character. It was a lot to unpack. Val Peterson, the Vice President of UVU, and apparently the man allegedly feared by faculty and allegedly very pro-Erika and Turning Point USA. We had wondered why, if you're the Vice President of a school, you wouldn't want to stand behind your faculty. We had a few questions pertaining to what we learned about him just in the after-incident report that UVU had outsourced to an independent review. Explicitly, we wanted to know where was Val Peterson on September 10th. He had a lot of duties — he oversaw EMS services at UVU among them. You'd think that if he knew Charlie Kirk was coming, he may have been there. The report tells us that no, actually, he was 45 minutes away, and we wanted to know where.

Thanks to you sleuths back at home and some brave yet clearly terrified faculty members at UVU, we were able to put some more pieces together. We confirmed from multiple sources with direct knowledge that he was golfing, allegedly out in Heber, Utah. One person claimed that he was actually taking part in a tournament. We found a few clubs and tournaments that could potentially match that description, but we don't need to venture a specific guess as to which one he was at. Suffice it to say, the story that he has told is that he was away golfing.

Interestingly enough — and I want to be clear that this part we have not yet been able to independently verify, but we are working on it — we were also told that he was with Governor Cox. We thought fact-checking that portion would be very easy because the governor publishes his schedule onto the website publicly, and that includes instances where he has participated in golf tournaments. Strangely, however, we went to his website and despite September 10th falling on a Wednesday, the governor's official schedule did not list any commitments — not on the 10th, and also not on the 9th. That's interesting to me. We can pull and show his schedule on the 9th. This is the 8th to the 14th — all we get is Monday the 8th, and there's no 9th and 10th.

It's interesting really just because September tends to be a notably busy season for politicians, for parents, for everybody. Summer's over, back to school, back to work. And again, I can't stress enough — this is midweek. Why is nobody going to work? I would also add that as far as we can tell — and I was kind of surprised by this — Governor Cox has never stated where he was when he learned of Charlie's death. He's done interviews and he's gone as far as to say, "I got the notification on my phone and within a minute I was on the phone with the White House," but he's never said where he was when he got that notification. Again, so far as we can tell — if we are overlooking something, please send it. The reason he hasn't shared it might just be because no one's asked him: where were you? Were you golfing with Val? That would be interesting.

Governor Cox's schedule and Tyler Clancy

But get this, because there's something else. In examining his published schedule that week in general, we did discover that Governor Cox had a meeting on September 2nd with none other than Provo police officer Tyler Clancy — House of Rep, Provo police officer, many hats, homeless coordinator. Check this out. I can't make this up. This is again the published schedule on his website. You can see that at 5:00 PM he had a meeting with Representative Tyler Clancy at the governor's mansion. Not Tyler's mansion — at the governor's mansion.

What can I say? Tyler Clancy really is just so impressive. Imagine a one-on-one with the governor of the state in his mansion. And to be clear, the Utah House of Reps — they work 45 days a year, and he started in 2023, so he's climbing this ladder quickly. He's making a lot of connections. I'm wondering what they spoke about. Maybe it was regarding his upcoming promotion. Who knows? I wonder what hat Tyler was wearing. Probably not the House of Rep hat because they're in session beginning in January. Maybe the Provo Police stopping human trafficking hat. Who knows? I thought you'd find that interesting.

Val Peterson's brother arrested on child exploitation charges

Ladies and gentlemen, I don't even know how to start this. We did discover something else last night that is going to potentially not shock you at all. Actually, you might be shocked initially like I was, but I feel we are now far enough into this story that in the scheme of everything we have learned regarding the surrounding cast of characters, you're probably just going to be like, "Yeah, yeah, that sounds right." It's regarding Val Peterson — again, referred to by many as the most powerful man in the state of Utah.

We learned that he has a brother named Charles Lorettz Peterson. And this brother Charles was arrested this year — twice, actually, in two different states. First on February 3rd, 2026, in Leighton, Utah. I'm going to go through these charges with you because they feel significant.

Do you want to guess the charge at home? I'm going to check the chat. Let's see. I'm going to give people a chance here. I feel like people might be able to know what's going on. "Expect the worst from them." "Was it kids again?" says Mark Johnson. Someone said trafficking. Someone said children. Kids. Children. Someone is guessing it's related to — I am — I don't — everyone at home must be Miss Cleo. How are you guys able to discern these things? How do you know?

Well, yes. You're on the money, actually. Charges were as follows. A first-degree charge for enticing a minor into sexual activity. And I'm going to tell you what that specific charge means in the state of Utah. It means an actor commits enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity if the actor knowingly uses an electronic communication or an electronic communication device to: one, solicit, seduce, lure, or entice a minor — or attempt to solicit, seduce, lure, or entice a minor, or another person who the actor believes to be a minor — to engage in sexual activity that is a violation of state criminal law; two, communicate with any individual with the intent to solicit, seduce, lure, or entice a minor or attempt to solicit, seduce, lure, or entice a minor to engage in sexual activity that is a violation of state criminal law; or three, initiate contact with a minor or a person the actor believes to be a minor subsequent to the action described in subsection 2A by any electronic or written means, and solicit, seduce, lure, or entice the minor — or attempt to solicit, seduce, lure, or entice the minor or a person that the actor believes to be a minor — to engage in sexual activity that is a violation of state criminal law. It can also include developing a relationship or trust with a minor or the minor's parent or guardian with the intent to solicit, seduce, lure, or entice the minor to engage in sexual activity that is a violation of state criminal law.

He was also charged with aggravated sexual exploitation, which means an actor commits aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor if the actor knowingly distributes or produces child sexual abuse material, or is the minor's parent or legal guardian and knowingly consents to or permits the minor to be sexually exploited. It also includes distributing material harmful to a minor — an actor commits distributing material harmful to a minor if the actor intentionally distributes or offers to distribute, or exhibits or offers to exhibit, material harmful to minors to an individual, or intentionally produces, performs, or directs any performance before an individual that is harmful to minors.

Okay, so you get it. Then what happens is that Utah decided to collaborate with Idaho — because remember, I told you that Val Peterson is from Idaho. He's from Moscow, Idaho, where his father was a professor at the University of Idaho. Yes, to you guys who kind of picked up what I was throwing down yesterday about Moscow, Idaho being at the center of some other crimes that I never felt right about the story we were being told. But anyway, Utah collaborated with Idaho and he was additionally charged in Meridian, Idaho. And if you're wondering why that sounds vaguely familiar, it's because it's the same area where Macy Crofts — the one who, allegedly according to the UVU review, insisted on having the event in the amphitheater — her uncle Kip was arrested just outside of Nampa, where Turning Point USA put on their assembly. That's right there. And by the way, Val Peterson's dad — that's where they're from. Born in Nampa, Idaho. So that's interesting.

Val's brother Charles was additionally charged in Meridian with four counts of soliciting a child. Here is the article, which is available on the Idaho Attorney General's website. Not a lot of details beyond this. It just tells us that Attorney General Raul Labrador announced that a Meridian man was charged in Idaho on March 5th, 2026, with four counts of enticing a child. Investigators with the Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children unit arrested Charles Peterson, 52, on February 3rd, 2026, after receiving a request for assistance from the Leighton Police Department on similar charges now pending in Utah.

The charges listed above are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. Yeah, it's important to note that. The charges listed are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless he is proven guilty.

But man, you guys — what do you think? Your opinion, not your fact, but your opinion. Why is this a theme that we just keep coming up against in this story? Everybody involved — we're going, why is this person not on our team, why is this person acting like this, what are we doing, what's going on? And then we just dig a tiny little bit and you go, "Oh, okay." It just keeps recurring. How many people do you know, just in a story, in a circle, in a friend group, where you throw a rock and you keep hitting these kinds of charges? What do you guys think? Why does this theme keep coming up in the story?

Questions about the Epstein files, TPUSA, and Erika Kirk

I have more questions. Why did President Donald Trump call Charlie Kirk in July and reprimand him for speaking out against the Epstein files? Why did he do that? Why did the Epstein files require so many top-level meetings in the White House in the Situation Room? Why can't we get a clear answer from Charlie's wife Erika regarding the story that we broke — her hanging out at a modeling office allegedly in New York, an office frequented by Jeffrey Epstein, a modeling agency that was started by the French pervert Jean-Luc Brunel, who was Jeffrey Epstein's partner? It would be very easy for Erika Kirk to deny that she's ever been to that office. I would do so immediately. It would be very easy for her to deny that she was in charge of modeling apartments on the Upper East Side which were occupied by young Eastern European models, as we were told — as we reached out for comment before we published the story. Why not just clarify that when people are already noticing that this theme of human trafficking just keeps coming up?

And while we're asking questions — why is it that Turning Point, under her leadership, appears to be so especially focused on access to high schools? Club America, which is being administratively forced upon students who are not signing up for this club. It's assembly time and you've got to go. And no, that was not the explicit vision that Charlie Kirk had. We demonstrated that to you via his last company pitch that he gave in front of investors in Aspen three weeks before his death. He said what his vision was — he wanted it to be like a debate club where kids signed up and wanted to show up, wanted to host people. He didn't want to mandate assemblies using the arm of donors and influence in the region.

Why do they have so much influence in the region of Idaho and Utah? Actually, why was Andrew Kolvet allegedly at the White House meeting with top brass the day before the Epstein files were partially released to the public? We know that they've been stripped — millions upon millions of files. We're never going to get to see them. Pam Bondi said it would lead to the collapse of global economies if they released them. Two people in the White House emailed me and told me, "We didn't know the Epstein files were coming out the next day, so we just tweeted it." Thankfully, I tweeted — I said, "I don't know what this means, but I'm hearing Andrew Kolvet's at the White House." Why is it that this administration is refusing to release them in their entirety? What would lead to the collapse of global economies? And why not just let them collapse?

They panicked and they pretended that it was just ludicrous when I began discussing various elements of the Charlie Kirk assassination. I said, "Hey, these are the facts. He was changing his mind. He had changed his mind regarding Israel. He was done with them." I said, "Hey, White House — the French Foreign Legion's presence, they were there on the ground that day." It's a fact that still has never been disputed by the White House, I might add. They presented it though as if I was just spewing grand conspiracies.

France, Israel, the United States government — all working together, shared interest regarding Charlie Kirk. Let me be perfectly clear. Jeffrey Epstein would be the literal manifestation of all three of those nations. He worked directly for the Rothschilds, who credit themselves with having created the state of Israel in 1948. You can go watch those videos — they say, "We did that." His convicted partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, was born in France. He therefore ran his trafficking operations in and through France extensively. He owned property and businesses in France. Jean-Luc Brunel, who hung himself — perhaps was suicided in a cell. French modeling agencies. French. Suddenly those three states working together would make a lot of sense if Charlie Kirk was threatening to turn against Israel.

And I think it means something that Pam Bondi said it would lead to the crash of global economies if the Epstein files were released in their entirety. That would mean that globally, countries would have to work together to make sure that that never happened. And while he was going on about Epstein — by "he" I mean Charlie, of course, on his show every day, hitting hard — I was talking about pedophile criminal networks in France and working on an Epstein series. I look at this whole picture and I know where we stand here. I just know where we stand.

    Reflections on Charlie Kirk's birthday

It is Charlie's would-be 33rd birthday today. And I think the best gift that anyone could give to Charlie on his birthday is not an empty tweet or an Instagram post from the people whose careers he helped launch — people who conveniently continue to look the other way despite the many holes that began appearing immediately in the fed's narrative surrounding his assassination. No, look away. No, the widow. No, this theme just keeps coming up. Everybody's involved in human trafficking. People have pending cases for being into kids. It's just a coincidence. This is how everybody lives. Yeah. Makes me sick.

Looking at the posts, they make me sick. I have to kind of abstain from the internet for a day because I just go, how do you wake up every day and just choose to be an absolute fraud? How do you pretend to care about Charlie? I don't know how they do it. I struggle with the fact that they're able to do it and they don't even flinch.

But yeah, I think the best gift to Charlie on what would have been his 33rd birthday is that we just keep discussing the Epstein files. We keep pointing out what's actually happening here. And we acknowledge that Charlie was terrified in the end. He woke up one day and he realized that his life was a Truman Show — that he had trusted his lieutenants to run things and he didn't know what was going on at his company. But he had questions, and they were not content to answer those questions, and they still are not content to answer any questions, actually. He realized that people around him were characters that had been intentionally cast, and that the success of his company was perhaps tied to something darker than he had realized in the first place.

But I will say on a positive note that Charlie knew that death was coming. He knew that his death, though premature, would be tied to a wider awakening. And as we discuss these things now, we can just guess what we're going to find. I think we can all conclude that Charlie was right. So, happy birthday, Charlie Kirk.

Commentary on the new White House press secretary

I think right now I feel like there are white walkers among us. I look out to the audience and I'm like, are you alive? Like everyone's sort of been bitten by something, and we're the only ones who are aware of what's happening. It's just getting more and more absurd. We're aware that it's a Truman Show. And I'm like, is there a bug going around? Like, how long has life been operating like this in the United States and abroad, where people are just being pulled through the ranks and put into positions and we're told that they're qualified and they're allowed to lead?

That's what we were hitting at when I started looking into the Brigitte story. I was like, this person doesn't exist. You can't just not exist for 30 years and then gaslight the public and be like, "I have enough power and resources to gaslight you as to why I can't produce a single photo of me across 30 years of my life." Like, this is the Brigitte Macron story. No one's asking for blood. No one needs to see private parts. It's not that extreme. You allegedly had three kids — some photos, raising them, pregnant, in the hospital, birthday parties — nothing. It's just a dark hole. And then they look at us and go, "You're crazy. How dare you think this?" Like, yeah, we think it. We think a lot.

And we're just seeing more and more of that. Like we discussed yesterday, this Katie Zacharia character who is the new press secretary — I'm just watching people defend this and pretend like, "Oh, this is totally fine. This is like first-day nerves, and it's totally fine that we can't confirm her background. She's been providing commentary on Fox News. I'm sure she's a nice girl." I have nothing personal against Katie. It's just I happened to notice that she seems to have no idea what she's talking about. She seems to be confused. And I don't know how she got this position. And it's a bit weird that you pretended that you passed the bar. I'll say allegedly, but people can't confirm it.

And I want to be clear — the school she went to, Pepperdine, same school as Erika. I don't know if they're manufacturing these girls. Like, Erika's credentials were all over the place. Kind of felt like they were made up, if we're being honest. But Pepperdine confirmed that she went to the school. That's not in question. They confirmed that she got a degree. We know that she got her bachelor's degree. We know that she finished at law school. Did she pass the bar? You can't just pretend to be a practicing attorney if you didn't pass the bar. Where did you pass the bar? Here is the answer that she gave when she was next to Trump and the reporters asked her, "Hey, where did you pass the bar?" Take a listen.

The reporter asks which state she passed the bar exam in, and another reporter presses: "He said she's an attorney. Where did she pass the bar exam? Which state?" And her answer is: "When I moved to China."

That's her answer. When I moved to China. That's my new answer. You ask for any qualification and you just go there and they gave you — said, "Yeah, here you go, this works everywhere." Was it a card? How does this work? Obviously she does not want to answer the question because she can't answer the question because she did not pass the bar. And so this is all made up. And it's massively embarrassing to Trump. It's massively embarrassing that we have people who are so tribal that they won't call this out and say it's wrong. It's just wrong. Trump got duped. Why she was put into that position, I'm not sure. But you need to be honest.

You lie about everything. I get so frustrated when people lie about the small stuff. You're lying about everything from the Epstein files all the way down to whether or not this woman passed the bar in America. Like, how much do you hate us? Can you just tell the truth about something? Just toss us a bone. Tell us a truth about something. We need to know that reality isn't slipping away from us this quickly.

    Kelly Clarkson's Brooklyn store incident

On that notion, I thought it was just such a perfect analogy for everything that has happened in America. Like, the America we thought we knew is so over. And as a millennial, I feel like we peaked when American Idol — which was a show that premiered back in 2001, 2002 — and we believed in reality TV. We believed that we were watching reality when we watched TV. We had no idea of this concept of what I refer to as the Midas touch — somebody pulled the strings and it's all pre-planned. Producers are planning it, and actually it's our reality that's being impacted.

I just remember how I felt when Kelly Clarkson, who was the first American Idol winner back in 2002 — 16 years old, you're told she was a waitress, no connections, just a wonderful voice because she sang in church — I just want to go back to how I felt when she sang "A Moment Like This" when she won, and she was giggling, and we're like, "Oh, what a sweet girl." And then there's this story that's happening today.

Fast forward and Kelly Clarkson is quite literally crashing out. She went to a store in Brooklyn called The Art of Play. Let me give you the bird's-eye view of this — and it's actually an appropriate term to use, the bird's-eye view. In Brooklyn, this is not like Jay-Z's Brooklyn, okay? This isn't where you're running around seeing crackheads. This is where really wealthy people and their kids with trust funds want to feel alive, so they pretend that they're thrifting at shops, but it kind of costs the price of Chanel bags to thrift at these stores. They just want to know that it's pre-owned. It's like where Lena Dunham goes, where Taylor Swift is writing an album and says, "I wrote this album in Brooklyn, just wanted to feel connected to people." But it's really wealthy people — there's nothing really happening here, no substance, and everyone's kind of a trust fund baby or connected into the industry in some way. That's this area of Brooklyn in a nutshell.

She walked into this store called Art of Play and she saw a bird that she wanted to purchase — an automated bird made by an artist. Okay, right out the gate, this is not a relatable story. Nobody hopped into a store and was like, "Is that a $15,000 automated bird? I want to have that." So let's just show the automated bird that she wanted to buy. She was in the store for four minutes.

So that's Molly the automated bird. If that's your thing and you want to buy it, great. She hops into the store dressed normally, as people are dressed — and these are the people that are so rich that they buy clothes to look homeless. That's the general vibe of a Brooklyn hipster. They buy jeans ripped and distressed and they're actually more expensive than if you just bought the jeans normally. Nobody is judging you for coming into a store in Brooklyn with a cap on. Also, welcome to New York — everyone kind of has an attitude. I'm from New York. I know exactly the kind of vibe of where she was at.

So she went to the store and she clearly, I think, genuinely misunderstood when she saw Molly the automated bird. She saw $15,000 on the wall. And what they meant by that — which you come upon in places that are artsy — is you can buy something similar to this. The artist's name is this, and for $15,000 they can make you one. You're basically commissioning art at that point. And so she has a very quick back-and-forth with somebody who's probably making minimum wage and didn't treat her like the celebrity that she is, and told her that it wasn't for sale — because it wasn't. It's affixed to their wall. It's obviously not for sale. Like, it's not a shirt on a dummy. Actually, you can go to stores and a shirt on a dummy will not be for sale. They'll tell you that. And you just go, "Okay, that one's not for sale. It's the last one. We're not going to strip the dummy."

She loses her mind, storms out, and says that she was basically discriminated against. She tweeted out — or went on to Instagram — and immediately wrote that she had been discriminated against and said that it was her Pretty Woman moment. She wrote: "Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy, and literally was looked at as if I couldn't afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude, you're an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y'all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman. For sure. Check it out. Thumbs down."

She tweeted this 15 minutes after she left the store. She was only there for four minutes and the guy told her it wasn't for sale. That's all that happened to her. By the way, generally speaking, if you did show up dressed like a prostitute, he has every right to ask you to leave the store if you did. Like, the lesson of that Pretty Woman moment is that you kind of should judge somebody who comes in dressed like a stripper at your store. But she's trying to pretend she was discriminated against. And they released the video of what's happening in the store. Everyone looks the same because it's Brooklyn — just a bunch of Caucasian people shopping in a store. She was not discriminated against. The guy literally tells her no and says she can buy another one, but she wants that one.

So watching her — this has now been going on for a week of back and forth. Now the owner is coming out saying they're getting death threats. He's being dramatic about it. He was not even there at the store when this took place. And all that happened is that Kelly Clarkson was treated normally. That's really the story — Kelly Clarkson was treated normally and she's sort of used to having the carpet rolled out.

She definitely would not make it in New York. She wanted to, for whatever reason, purchase this bird for $15,000 and thought she would find an audience online that was sympathetic — in this economy — to a multi-millionaire who has $15,000 to spend on a bird. That's a down payment on a house. And she just wants to buy a bird that I actually find generally to be annoying. I wouldn't want this in my house. It sounds loud. It sounds annoying. I don't know what she's planning on doing with that bird.

But the fall of this American Idol is another sign of the times. I'm telling you guys, America has fallen. No longer do we have the society where we looked up and saw the sweet 16-year-old girl that we thought was just a waitress — and probably was, maybe potentially very wealthy and pre-picked. Who knows? I could believe anything now. I wish we could go back to the world where we believed in celebrities, believed in their struggles, believed that Kelly Clarkson needed the $15,000 bird and that the store really did discriminate against her rather than just treating her like a regular human being. But that world is gone. That world is over. And the crash-out of Kelly Clarkson is indeed proof that we've stepped into a whole new reality. I'm sorry to report on that, America. There is no such thing as an American Idol anymore. It's completely over.

Danny Trejo allegedly entrapped in Ben Shapiro film contract

Okay, I want to comment on this very quickly. I saw this trending. Danny Trejo, the actor who is allegedly stuck in a Ben Shapiro project — they kind of tricked him into it, allegedly. His son is claiming, and Variety is reporting, that people were asking why Danny Trejo is participating in this movie with Ben Shapiro, who is producing it. It's a pro-ICE project, which goes against his roots, his Mexican roots. And Danny Trejo apparently had never even heard of Ben Shapiro before signing on for this new movie, Pawn Shop. His son says that it's really messed up — he's basically handcuffed to the stupid project.

The statement from Danny Trejo's son reads: "For anyone seeing this with my dad — he was booked on a film. It's not pro-ICE. It's not overtly pro anything. His agent described it as, quote, 'a complicated story about a complicated time where everyone looks bad except you, the hardworking Mexican shop owner who just wants peace.' He jumped at the idea of playing a good guy. About two weeks into shooting, everyone — including us — found out Ben Shapiro was involved. My 82-year-old dad said he had never heard of Ben Shapiro. I had to explain to him who that is and what kind of guy he is. My dad contractually cannot badmouth him, the film, or walk away without being sued for breach of contract. He couldn't even release the statement that he wanted to. It's messed up. He is handcuffed to the stupid project. And so many people have instantly turned their back on him without knowing any of the facts. Ben Shapiro got Mexicans to abandon one of their heroes, got his own name to the top of Google searches, and made us look like angry fools lacking any nuance. He wins."

Okay. So I want to let you know that yeah, if he will sue you for breach of contract, he won't just sue you for breach of contract. He will follow you across states. He will stalk you. You can't leave Ben Shapiro. I just want to give some free advice to Danny Trejo — the tricky contract clauses, not knowing who somebody is, feeling entrapped and then being like, "This is just morally wrong" — if you try to get out of that contract, you're getting sued. And then he will encourage others to sue you with their money. It is a blood contract oath, and the only way out is death, really. I tend to believe that — call it from personal experience. You better just do the movie, or you're going to have to deal with a psychotic stalker for the rest of your life who will then probably try to take your business, your kids' businesses. He's probably already plotting against one of your kids — because he just can't be normal and realize that some people don't want to work with him. They want to move on in their lives, and that's not acceptable according to him. So stay in it, Danny. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here.

Top comments from yesterday's episode. Kimwood writes: "We are going to need Pokemon cards for everyone now. Got to catch them all." Okay, we will get on it. We do of course have more so that you can trade. We've got to get Mikey McQueen. We've got to get Blake Neff. Obviously we'll get on it. We should probably sell a pack — it'd be funny if we put together a little pack to sell. I'll work on that.

Lily writes: "With so many people working to get rid of child trafficking, you have to wonder why there's still child trafficking." I tend to agree with you on that one. It's a thing that everyone's doing and yet it seems like the problem is growing. How is that possible? Interesting. Very interesting.

Reading comments from today's episode — Patrick J. Carlin writes: "On Charlie Kirk's birthday, and since he cared so deeply about America, I propose that we trash the immoral America and elect Queen Candace as the sole ruler of it. A representative democracy only works if you have a moral society, and we do not have one anymore." Okay, Patrick, I am not going for queen. I'm going for dictator. It's different, but you've got to keep up. I want to be the dictator of the United States. As long as I tell you that and then you vote for me, you know that I'm never leaving office and I don't have to listen to Congress. And Tim Dillon can be my press secretary. And if he needs a day off — weeks off — Theo Von will fill in. If you find my terms acceptable, we can move forward.

Joseph writes: "Have you seen Tom Cruise's new film Digger? I like to think of the film as the portrayal of what Charlie Kirk's world would have been had he accepted Bibi's offer of taking TPUSA to the next level, and then living in a world that is fake and gay thereafter." I have not seen that movie, but I will watch it. And yeah, if it's about that decision coming to you — that you can go to the next level but you have to sell your soul — you can see that many people in the wake of Charlie's assassination got that offer and said yes. And it's just so shocking. I wake up every day and I'm like, I can't believe I worked with these human beings and they just lie every day. They don't care. They can obviously comprehend and understand the very many holes in this story. The common sense ones — you don't have to do any digging. Do you think he had a steel neck and this amazing thing happened from 150 yards with a bullet? Do you think bullets dance in the air? No. But we live in a world of tremendous cowardice.

Melly writes: "Even though it might not be much, to yell out to Charlie that we will never give up and he is beyond loved." I think he knows he is loved — just not by the people that he thought he was loved by, which is sad. But more people than ever know his story, and that's what he wanted to do. He wanted to impact the world, and he did.

Abigail Rice writes: "Did you see Ben Shapiro getting called out for serving Israel?" I did not. I only saw the thing about the Danny Trejo contract, and I instantly just went — this is so exactly what would happen. And that's what they do. It's just what they love — a contract. The contract lords, as they view themselves.

Ashley writes: "Birds of a feather flock together, and you are known by the company you keep. Pay attention to the company that people keep. Sometimes that tells you more than their words ever will." That is very true, and that is why I am out on politics — unless you elect me dictator one day, maybe.

TV writes: "Candace, you inspired my daughter to join speech and debate. You are inspiring a younger generation of young women to speak the truth and deliver their thoughts with grace and confidence. I can't wait to see her go max." Thank you for that. I also hope that it inspires her to consider homeschooling and to take a look at the university system and to recognize who built it and what that system is about, and to see if she can make it outside of it. I think we do just have to completely recreate the wheel. And the Cornell 7 is evidence of that really. All of these conversations are just such a race to the bottom.

Like Brooklyn — what side have you got, Kelly Clarkson or the store owner? Everyone's a trust fund baby. It's Brooklyn. Everyone's rich. You don't have to pick a side. Everyone's fine. They can afford to not have any sales probably at that store. Tapping into a trust fund, just having some fun playing with mom or dad's money. If I could guess — Kelly Clarkson's show just ended, she's looking for something to do, she wants a $15K bird. I want to know where, now that we're all in this story — where are you putting that bird in your house, Kelly? We deserve answers. Where were you going to put it? How often were you going to use it? Was it going to be a gift to someone? Like, where did you see this and go, "I must have this"? I just have questions. I always have questions. I need to know more about the bird. And now the owner is trolling her and says Molly the bird is now worth $15 million, which I do find to be kind of funny. And now she really can't afford it. Everybody in this story is just absurd and over the top. This is rich people having fun.

Britney Reic writes: "Like me, my daughter is a huge Candace fan. She and her eighth-grade classmates will be traveling to DC in a few weeks, and she is insisting on her friends wearing your CIA tee when they visit the White House. They want to go max." Yes. They wouldn't even recognize that it was actually a Candace shirt, so you'd be so fine to wear it. They'd think, "Oh, we have young students coming up that like the CIA." That's probably what they would think. So she's probably totally fine to wear it, and she should wear it.
